Join Us June 13 to Experience the Inspiring Works of Norman Salt and Charles Wuth

The historic Reckless Estate is opening its doors for a remarkable afternoon of community, creativity, and storytelling. On Saturday, June 13, from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM, the Woman’s Club of Red Bank proudly hosts an Art Show Open House featuring two incredible local artists and Vietnam veterans: Norman Salt and Charles Wuth.

Part of our ongoing Reckless Pen & Palette showcase, this event offers a unique opportunity to explore the diverse, deeply personal journeys of two men who served their country and now share their unique visions through the canvas.

Norman Salt and Charles Wuth are the current featured artists in the Woman’s Club of Red Bank’s Reckless Pen & Palette program, a community service initiative that provides local artists with free exhibit space throughout the historic clubhouse. Their artwork will remain on display for a limited time, allowing members, guests, and community visitors to enjoy their work during meetings, events, and special programs.

Meet the Artists

  • Norman Salt: A retired healthcare professional and Jersey Shore Chapter Vietnam veteran, Norman discovered painting just three years ago through an art therapy program sponsored by the Vietnam Veterans of America. What started as a therapeutic creative outlet has blossomed into an inspiring hobby rooted in healing, purpose, and transformation.
  • Charles Wuth: Also a proud Vietnam veteran, Charles draws inspiration from the world around him. His vibrant paintings capture the diverse objects and landscapes encountered during his travels, as well as the quiet beauty found right in his own backyard. When he isn’t holding a paintbrush, Charles can often be found playing guitar and singing the blues.

Illuminate Art Fundraiser

Preserving Historic Walls, Spotlighting Local Artists

The Reckless Pen & Palette program has transformed the Woman’s Club of Red Bank into a welcoming gallery space where local artists can share their work with the community. To continue growing this free community service, we are raising funds for a professional art hanging and lighting system that will protect our original 1894 plaster walls while providing gallery-quality illumination for the artwork on display.

Your contribution will help us preserve the historic Reckless Estate, enhance the viewing experience for visitors, and create a more professional exhibition space for artists like Norman Salt, Charles Wuth, and future participants in the Reckless Pen & Palette program.

By supporting this project, you are investing in both local history and local creativity.
