Our historic Woman’s Club of Red Bank clubhouse was filled with incredible energy recently with the July Reckless Steamy Night’s concert perfromance of The Andy Rothstein Band.

In his featured review, The Andy Rothstein Band Heats Up Reckless Steamy, Tom Baldino captured the excitement of a packed hall witnessing a true virtuoso showcase. Guitarist Andy Rothstein led an ensemble of top-flight musicians—including Tom Cottone on drums, Bob Franceschini on sax, D. Pappas on keyboards, Tony Senatore on bass, and John Martin on trumpet and flugelhorn.

The band treated the audience to intricate original compositions from their latest release, Truth Against the World, alongside fan favorites and brilliant reimagined covers, including a standout Latin-infused take on Bob Dylan’s “It’s All Over Now, Baby Blue” and Jeff Beck’s “Led Boots.” From tight horn arrangements to soaring guitar solos, the evening proved once again why the phrase “the whole is greater than the sum of its parts” fits this group so perfectly.

These dynamic monthly performances, Reckless Steamy Nights, are made possible through our wonderful partnership with the Jersey Shore Jazz & Blues Foundation (JSJBF.org). As a dedicated non-profit community partner, the JSJBF hosts these events to keep live music thriving in our region while raising funds for student music scholarships. We are proud to share our space to support such an impactful cultural mission.

The night concluded with a well-deserved standing ovation.

Stay tuned for details on our next monthly concert (in September), and be sure to check out the band’s music online www.andyrothstein.com!
