Workshop your draft to be submission ready.
Do you have a solid draft of a picture book? During this class, we workshop drafts so you can get constructive feedback from your instructor and peers. We begin each week with a mini-lesson on craft and then devote the rest of the class to peer critiques, honing in on the essential elements of structure, language, and character arc. The goal is to create polished manuscripts that are submission ready for conferences and/or agents/editors.
Meet Your Instructor: Michele Prestininzi
“What I love about Picture Book Critique is the collaboration and inspiration that runs through every class. Students not only strengthen their craft and critiquing skills, but also become invested in their fellow writers’ stories as much as their own. They are each other’s cheerleaders, and they don’t give up–even if the writer has doubts. This tight-knit group supports each other in a safe space to make their stories shine.”
