The Collaborative Art Show:

Art from the 2022 artists that had showings at the Woman’s Club came together for a final night.

Historic Photo Exhibit:

Thanks to a grant from Monmouth Arts (www.MonmouthArts.org) we were able to restore and host an exhibit to the public on December 13th. The historic photo exhibit showcases sixteen restored photos from the late 1800’s through the 1940’s that were donated to the Woman’s Club of Red Bank by Dorn’s Photography. Dorn’s was a family-owned and operated photography studio in Red Bank since 1937.

The restoration of these photos included the work of Lenni Gabriele of Old Photos Repaired, a local photo restoration service, and the framing by Jeff of FrameTech, a professional framing company in Fords, NJ for over 25 years.  Attempts to identify subjects and time periods with the help of the Red Bank Library reference librarian Barbara Pickell.

The photos are not of our Woman’s Club but highlight three time periods of our club, the house built by Senator Anthony Reckless, the early form of the club known as the Red Bank Coterie from 1896-1912, and after the club became the Woman’s Club of Red Bank in 1913. Our club has had a long history of supporting a mission of literacy and community service. In later years we added house preservation to our mission statement.
