John has been playing music since the age of nine and first picked up the guitar when he was thirteen. He’s performed at many venues such as Chris’s Jazz Cafe in Philadelphia. Somethin’ Jazz Club in Manhattan. Little E’s, James Street, Savoy in Pittsburgh. Old Bay, Destination Dogs, and Tumulty’s in New Brunswick, NJ. The Stone Pony, The Cross & Orange, and Hotel Tides in Asbury Park, NJ. TT the Bear’s Place in Boston, to name a few. He primarily plays jazz but is comfortable in many styles (rock, funk, blues, top 40 pop, R&B, folk, punk. country, ska, acoustic, etc.) and has done much work as an accompanist beside singers and instrumentalists in different styles. He is also a versatile solo performer of jazz standards and other songs.
