Old Monmouth Weekend +

Weekend in Old Monmouth

The Woman’s Club of Red Bank was on the walking tour of the Weekend in Old Monmouth on May 6th and 7th. A Weekend in Old Monmouth is an annual two-day event, a self-guided tour, when 50 of the Monmouth County history sites open their doors to visitors and waive their admission fees. The tour is organized by the Monmouth County Historical Commission.

We had volunteers on site on both days to meet and greet the walking tours. There were a lot of history buffs and architecture buffs that enjoyed walking around. They particularly enjoyed viewing our recent historic photo renovations – the photos were hanging in the library with brief descriptions.

Members Tables

On Saturday four of our members hosted tables. We had beautifully painted scarves, skincare presented by the inventors of the products, tequila, and retro records. Photo Credit to Danielle Murolo – she is a local reiki and sound healing practitioner.

Chetna Singh – brought her famous Painted Stories on Scarves. They were extraordinary!

Jayati Bhattacharyya is one of the inventors of the fabulous skincare MoMi.

Quite a few of us taste-tested the Ambrar tequila – it was fabulous!

Carol Ingaro brought us down memory lane with some retro records.

Thank you to all the volunteers!
