Tiles, Tactics, and Toasts: Highlights from the March Mahjong Tournament
The rhythmic “clack-clack” of shuffling tiles filled the air this past March 28th as players gathered for a day of high-stakes strategy and social connection. Held from 10:00 am to 3:30 pm, the event transformed the historic clubhouse into a vibrant arena of competition and camaraderie, breathing a fresh, modern energy into our storied ballroom.
The atmosphere was electric throughout four fast-paced rounds of tournament rotation. Participants brought their A-game, navigating complex hands in hopes of taking home one of the afternoon’s featured prizes. To fuel the competition, players took a mid-day break for a catered lunch, which offered a chance to decompress, talk strategy, and connect with fellow enthusiasts.
