Celebrating National Women’s Small Business Month & National Business Women’s Week

October is a powerful month for spotlighting women in local businesses marked by both National Women’s Small Business Month and National Business Women’s Week.

What is National Women’s Small Business Month?

Observed every October, National Women’s Small Business Month celebrates women in business across the nation. Here in Red Bank and the surrounding community, the Woman’s Club of Red Bank provides a place for members to connect, share their professional expertise, build relationships, and support one another’s endeavors.

This October, we’re celebrating Women’s Small Business Month by highlighting women in communications at our annual breakfast fundraiser, Lights, Camera, Legacy: Women in Communications Shaping the Future of Cinema. Through member-business sponsorships, a panel discussion featuring women in communications, and recognition of a women-led nonprofit, Garden State Film Festival, the Club brings people together to celebrate women’s achievements and strengthen community connections.

What is National Business Women’s Week?

In 2026, National Business Women’s Week takes place from October 18th-24th. The goal is to shine a light on women’s professional advancement and legacy in the workforce. It was first sponsored by the National Federation of Business and Professional Women’s Clubs in 1928.

At the Woman’s Club of Red Bank, supporting women in business extends beyond a single event or week of recognition. Following our annual breakfast fundraiser, Lights, Camera, Legacy: Women in Communications Shaping the Future of Cinema, we’ll continue to highlight our event sponsors on the website, share a recap of the event and its panel discussion, and shine a spotlight on our honoree, the Garden State Film Festival, and its contributions to the film and communications industries.

We also want to help more of our members promote their businesses! If you’re a Club member who owns a business or provides professional services, we encourage you to submit a listing to our online member directory—or update your existing listing to reflect your current services and contact information.
