Mahjong for a Cause: A Resounding Success for NO LIMITS CAFE!

This past Sunday, November 9th, the Woman’s Club of Red Bank buzzed with excitement, laughter, and the rhythmic click-clack of Mahjong tiles at the “Mahjong for a Cause” fundraiser! It was an unforgettable afternoon dedicated to supporting an incredible organization: NO LIMITS CAFE, which empowers individuals with special needs.

The energy in the room was palpable as Mahjong enthusiasts gathered, ready for the exciting games, including a festive holiday hand that added an extra layer of fun and challenge. Prizes were abundant, and the competition was friendly but fierce! Guests also had the chance to try their luck at tricky trays and raffles, with an array of wonderful items up for grabs.

We were honored to have the event hosted by our very own Woman’s Club member, Jami Josephson Chace of LetsPlayMahjong.com, along with the fantastic Mahjong Rocks team! Jami’s enthusiasm and expertise, coupled with the support from Mahjong Rocks, made the event a resounding success.

The funds raised will directly benefit NO LIMITS CAFE, helping them continue their vital work in providing meaningful employment and training to individuals with special needs. We are so proud to support an organization that champions inclusion and opportunity in our community.

A huge highlight was the stunning Grand Prize: a beautiful Mahjong tile set from Oh My Mahjong, which certainly inspired many to play their best! Every attendee received a thoughtful welcome gift, a small token of our appreciation for their participation and generosity. It was truly heartwarming to see so many come together – bringing their friends, their lucky charms, and their charitable spirit – to make a real difference.

After the event, Jami shared her joy, saying, “thank you for allowing us to be at the club… everyone had a lovely time! We did raise more than expected, yay! So we just donated another additional $235 to the club!” This generous additional donation is a testament to the success and impact of the day.
