The 2025 Finale to Reckless Steamy Nights
The Jersey Shore Jazz & Blues Foundation (JSJBF) concluded the 2025 Reckless Steamy Nights series at the historic Woman’s Club of Red Bank (Reckless Estate) with an unforgettable holiday show featuring the fan-favorite band, Goldenseal.
Highlights of the Evening:
- Goldenseal’s Performance: The quartet, led by Joe Hughes (acoustic guitar/vocals), along with Pat Martucci, Jesse Kessler, and Art Hoffer, delivered two powerful sets to a packed house. Highlights included curated covers like the Traveling Wilburys’ “Handle with Care,” Dire Straits’ “Sultans of Swing,” and their popular original, “This is My Home.”
- Special Guests: The night featured appearances by special guests Lee Sanderson (sax), JSJBF’s Gary Neuwirth (harp), and rock guitarist Matt O’Ree, who joined the band for a rousing finale of The Doors’ “Roadhouse Blues.”
- Scholarship Presentation: During intermission, Joe Hughes presented the JSJBF with a scholarship donation in memory of past members Dennis Eschbach and Danny Rongo, sharing heartfelt stories and honoring their contributions.
It was a fitting end to the season, celebrating excellent music while honoring brothers in music who are gone but not forgotten, and supporting aspiring musicians through the JSJBF scholarship fund.
